Low-Power Consumption M0+ (MG32L003 Series)

The MG32L003 series is the new low-power consumption MCU from Megawin Technnology, which is equipped with high-performance 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core with maximum main frequency of 24MHz, built-in 64KB Flash, 4KB SRAM, and integrated 12-bit high-precision ADC, RTC, PWM, comparator and other analog peripherals, with UART, LPUART, SPI, I2C and other rich communication interfaces, the series has the advantages of low-power consumption, high cost-effective, high reliability
Currently the MG32L003 series focuses on the low-pin market and is available in four packages: TSSOP20, QFN20, QFN32, and LQFP32, which are suitable for a wide range of applications and can be matched to both small footprint and versatile layouts.

Highlight 1: Low-Power Consumption

The MG32L003 series emphasizes on the low-power consumption of the MCU. Under the condition of VDD=3.3V, the sleep-mode power consumption is only 890nA, and the 24MHz full-speed operation mode is only 1.8mA, which is the lowest power consumption of Megawin MCUs at present, and lower than some competitors' M0+, and therefore it is very suitable for lithium-ion battery applications. Meanwhile, MG32L003 supports 32-pin package, so the number of available IOs is large, supporting up to 28 available GPIOs, which makes the application scenarios more extensive.
In addition, MG32L003 is upgraded to Arm® Cortex®-M0+ architecture, which supports IAP (In Application Programming) method for OTA update, which is more flexible (Megawin Technology can provide the sample of IAP update).
 
Highlight 2: RTC
The MG32L003 series also brings the function of hardware calendar RTC (Real-Time Clock/Calendar), which supports external or internal 32.768KHz clock source, and the hardware calendar function supports the automatic compensation of the number of days in the normal year and the leap year. Therefore, users no longer need to calculate the year, month and day information according to the counter value when performing the calendar function, but just read the register directly. Under the condition of RTC+external 32.768KHz crystal oscillator, the power consumption of MCU is only 1.0μA under the condition of deep-sleep but keeping the RTC timer.
