Following the launch of the high-value 32-bit Arm Cortex-M0 MCUs — the MG32F003 and MG32F005 series — in 2024, Megawin Technology continues to expand its entry-level 32-bit MCU portfolio with the introduction of the new MG32F04A064.
Featuring an upgraded Arm Cortex-M0+ core, the new MCU retains the product positioning of high performance, low cost, and simplified system design, while further enhancing its high-current direct-drive capability. The MG32F04A064 is designed for applications such as digital display, home appliance control, and other systems requiring higher I/O driving capability.
Compared with conventional MCUs that typically require external transistors or driver ICs to handle higher loads, the MG32F04A064 can directly drive five common-cathode 7-segment displays and provides four selectable drive-current levels, allowing flexible configuration based on different display and load requirements.
By enabling direct drive from the MCU, the MG32F04A064 can reduce the number of external driver components, simplify PCB circuit design, and lower both BOM and overall system costs. These advantages make it particularly suitable for cost-sensitive consumer electronics and home appliance applications.
In terms of system resources, the MG32F04A064 integrates 64 KB of Flash and 4 KB of SRAM, with an operating frequency of up to 48 MHz and a wide operating voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V. Its peripheral set includes a 12-bit ADC, comparator, UART, I²C, and SPI interfaces to support a wide range of sensing, display, and control applications. The device is available in a compact SSOP24 package with 22 I/O pins, balancing system functionality and PCB space requirements.
